WEEK FIFTEEN
LOUISIANA TECH @ MARSHALL
Ø LOUISIANA
TECH SR CB LEVANDER LIGGINS is a
solid day three prospect. Liggins is excellent in man coverage, showing good
ball skills. He has solid speed. He is probably smaller than his listed 5’11”
190 pounds.
HOUSTON @ CINCINNATI
Ø HOUSTON SR
DT JOEY MBU is a solid defensive
tackle prospect. Mbu is a wide bodied player, taking on multiple blockers on
most plays. Mbu has adequate pass rush skills. He is likely a rotational player
for a 34 defense at the NFL level. Mbu has accepted a Senior Bowl invite.
ALABAMA VS. MISSOURI
Ø MISSOURI JR
OLB SHANE RAY was ejected early from
the game for targeting. This is the second week in a row that Ray was
responsible for a questionable hit on a QB.
Ø ALABAMA JR
WR AMARI COOPER has showed me enough
to think he will be a top 5 draft pick, barring an injury during a playoff
game.
FLORIDA STATE VS. GEORGIA TECH
Ø FLORIDA
STATE RSOPH QB JAMEIS WINSTON can
really wow you when his head is screwed on straight. Winston was very accurate
in the ACC Championship Game. Winston has top-notch arm strength and football
I.Q. When he doesn’t rush things and he keeps his feet from going crazy, he doesn’t
get into trouble. His off-field issues are well documented. If a team in the
top 10 feels confident that those issues will not resurface, his talent dictates
he be picked there.
OHIO STATE VS. WISCONSIN
Ø OHIO STATE SR
WR DEVIN SMITH was really impressive
in this game. Smith showed tremendous body control and deep ball tracking
ability. Smith caught everything with his hands. He has good speed. He could be
a riser on draft boards.
FRESNO STATE @ BOISE STATE
Ø FRESNO STATE
SR DT TYELER DAVISON is a solid
player. Davison has pass rush ability. He has good strength at the point of
attack. I don’t know if he could hold up as a full-time nose tackle.
