2-14-16
1 TITANS Laremy
Tunsil OT Mississippi Jr
Tennessee
drafted their franchise QB last year, so now they must protect him.
2 BROWNS Paxton
Lynch QB Memphis Jr
Cleveland has
many needs, but after the disaster of Johnny Football, QB is the biggest need.
They still have
McCown as a 1-year stop gap, so Lynch can acclimate to the NFL.
3 CHARGERS Ronnie
Stanley OT Notre Dame Sr
San Diego needs
to protect their aging franchise QB. I also wouldn't be shocked to see them
draft a QB
themselves.
4 COWBOYS Carson
Wentz QB North Dakota State Sr
Dallas simply
can't depend on Romo anymore. They coached Wentz at the Senior Bowl,
so this a
little tea leave reading.
5 JAGUARS Jalen
Ramsey DS Florida State Jr
Jacksonville
has a huge need in the secondary, and Ramsey can be an all-pro as a corner or
safety.
6 RAVENS Joey
Bosa DE Ohio State Jr
Ozzie Smith
patiently waits, and the best player on the board falls in their laps at #6.
7 49ERS Laquon
Treadwell WR Mississippi Jr
The 49ers need
offensive playmakers for their new Chip Kelly led offense. Treadwell is easily
my top wide
receiver.
8 DOLPHINS Myles Jack OLB UCLA Jr
Miami adds a
defensive dynamo with Jack. He is coming off a knee injury, but should be ok
for camp.
9 BUCCS Vernon
Hargreaves, III CB Florida Jr
Tampa Bay
upgrades their secondary with one of the best pure cover corners. Some will
knock
him because of
his height, but they would be fools to do so.
10 GIANTS DeForest
Buckner DE Oregon Sr
The Giants need
help on the edge, and Buckner is the highest rated player on the board.
11 BEARS Noah Spence DE Eastern Kentucky Sr
Spence may be
the best pure pass rusher in the draft. He completely dominated the
Senior Bowl. If
Chicago is comfortable with his off-field stuff, he is the slam dunk pick.
12 SAINTS Mackensie
Alexander CB Clemson rSo
Brandon Browner
was one of the worst corners in the league a year ago. With Spence and
Treadwell
off the board,
I think Alexander is the pick.
13 EAGLES Jared
Goff QB Cal Jr
The Eagles need
a franchise QB, and Goff is the top one left. They could also go with an edge
player
if they aren't
comfortable with Goff.
14 RAIDERS Jason
Spriggs OT Indiana Sr
In my first
surprise pick in round one, I think Oakland will love the athleticism of
Spriggs, and take
him over some
higher ranked tackles.
15 RAMS Connor
Cook QB Michigan State Sr
I don't know
how the Rams feel about Cook, but I know they need a QB.
16 LIONS Sheldon
Rankins DT Louisville Sr
After
dominating Senior Bowl week, Detroit takes a pass rushing defensive tackle to
fill the hole
they didn't
fill after the departures of Suh and Fairley.
17 FALCONS Darron
Lee OLB Ohio State Jr
Atlanta drafts
a plug and play 3-down backer.
18 COLTS Jack
Conklin OT Michigan State Jr
Indianapolis
has to protect the franchise. Their offensive line play last year was abysmal.
19 BILLS Robert
Nkemdiche DT Mississippi Jr
Character
concerns pushed Nkemdiche down this far, but Rex Ryan doesn't ever seem to be
bothered by
such things.
20 JETS Reggie
Ragland ILB Alabama Sr
Ragland can
play all four linebacker positions for the Jets defense.
21 REDSKINS Andrew
Billings DT Baylor Jr
Terrance
Knighton is an UFA, so Washington replaces him at nose with Billings.
22 TEXANS Christian
Hackenberg QB Penn State Jr
The Texans need
a QB and Bill O' Brien recruited Hackenberg to PSU.
23 VIKINGS Taylor
Decker OT Ohio State Sr
Minnesota has
to do something about their turnstile-esque tackle position.
24 BENGALS Jaylon
Smith OLB Notre Dame Jr
Cincinnati has
to get more athletic at the linebacker position. They have also drafted well
enough
the last couple
of years to be able to "redshirt" players. Smith tore his ACL in the
Irish's bowl game.
25 STEELERS Kendall Fuller CB Virginia
Tech Jr
Fuller would
have gone higher if not for a knee injury early last season.
26 SEAHAWKS Michael
Thomas WR Ohio State Jr
Seattle needs
to add more offensive playmakers.
27 PACKERS Jarran
Reed DT Alabama Sr
Reed is an
athletic player for his size. He can set the edge in the run game and offer a
little pass rush.
28 CHIEFS Vadal
Alexander OG LSU Sr
If the Chiefs
let Jeff Allen go in free agency, Alexander can plug in at left guard. He can
also spot start
at OT.
29 CARDINALS Emmanuel
Ogbah OLB Oklahoma State Jr
Ogbah will
provide Arizona with some help rushing the QB. They could also look at the
O-line here.
30 PANTHERS Ezekiel
Elliott RB Ohio State Jr
In a surprise
pick, Carolina opts to add a RB. They could save some money by releasing
Johnathan
Stewart, and
add a much younger, well rounded back in Elliot.
31 BRONCOS Shaq
Lawson DE Clemson Jr
Malik Jackson
and Derek Wolfe are both UFA, so they will likely need to replace one or both. Lawson has the frame to add
more weight if necessary to play the position.
** PATRIOTS FORFEITED THEIR 1ST ROUND PICK
