2012 Rookies of the Year

2012 OFFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR:

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

QB- ANDREW LUCK (1ST ROUND/STANFORD)

To the surprise of no one, Andrew Luck delivered in year number one. Luck headed a team with a few veteran players, mostly rookies, and guys who had been castoffs elsewhere. Luck not only led his team to eleven wins, but he led his team to the playoffs, setting the NFL rookie passing record along the way. He finished the season with 4374 yards passing, 23 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions. He also finished with 255 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns. Luck is poised to make his way into the upper echelon of NFL QB's in 2013.

2012 DEFENSIVE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR:

CAROLINA PANTHERS

ILB- LUKE KUECHLY (1ST ROUND/BOSTON COLLEGE)

Luke Kuechly kept doing in the NFL, what he did in college, and that is making a boatload of tackles. At BC, Kuechly nearly recorded 600 tackles in three seasons. In his rookie season in Carolina, Kuechly led all NFL rookies with 164 tackles. He also added 2 interceptions, and one sack.
