ANALYSIS: There Was a lot to like about the Houston draft class as a whole. They felt the need to move up one spot to draft Will Fuller. Fuller has great straight line speed, but has one of the higher drop rates of any receiver in this class. Nick Martin should be their pivot man for years to come. I love the potential of Braxton Miller and think one day he may end up a better receiver than Fuller. Tyler Ervin was one of my favorite prospects in the draft. He is a versatile back. He is capable of mixing it up inside, breaking one to the outside, he catches the ball well, and he can even help on returns. K.J. Dillon was a great value pick in the 5th round. D.J. Reader can provide depth at nose tackle. The Texans draft ranked #3 in the league this year according to the DFD value board.

ANALYSIS: This was one of the better Indianapolis drafts in a few years. Ryan Kelly may be the safest pick in the draft. His value score is lower because centers usually have lesser value than other positions. He should be a ten-year starter. T.J. Green could eventually start at safety. He was drafted about a round higher than I would have, but his name was rising fast late in the process. Le’Raven Clark is a boom or bust player at tackle. He has all of the measurable you look for in the position, but he often gets beat by more athletic defensive ends. I really like the depth that can be provided by Hassan Ridgeway, Antonio Morrison, Joe Haeg, and Austin Blythe at their respective positions. Darrion Griswold should have been drafted. He can stretch the middle of the field and is a really good blocker. Mekale McKay also has the chance to make the 53. The Colts draft ranked #5 in the league this year according to the DFD value board.

ANALYSIS: If not for the reaches on day three, we may be talking about how Jacksonville had the top draft. With Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack, they drafted my #1 and #6 overall players. Ramsey can play corner or safety and be an all-pro at either. Myles Jack is an athletic freak at linebacker. He dropped to 36 over concerns about potential lingering effects of a meniscus tear he suffered early last season. Sheldon Day is undersized, but is very good at rushing the passer. Yannick Ngakoue is a pass rusher that I was not as high on as others. Tyrone Holmes and Jonathan Woodard will likely battle for a roster spot. Brandon Allen will likely spend this year on the practice squad. The Jaguars draft ranked #12 in the league this year according to the DFD value board.

ANALYSIS: Tennessee made a huge splash before the draft when they traded the #1 pick for a bounty of picks from the Rams. The then traded back up in the first round to select Jack Conklin. Conklin is a nasty blocker, who should start on the right side immediately. Kevin Dodd and Austin Johnson will likely be rotational players this year before seeing their roles expand. Same with Derrick Henry, who will split carries with veteran acquisition Demarco Murray. Tajae Sharpe is a tremendous route runner. Sebastian Tretola could supplant Chance Warmack next season if his contract isn’t extended (his 5th year option was not renewed). Kevin Byard is a ball hawking safety. He was just drafted about 2 rounds too high. The Titans draft ranked #19 in the league this year according to the DFD value board.
